New Construction

Leo Vogel founded Vogel in 1946, primarily performing architectural sheet metal work. In the late 1950’s Leo’s son William became involved in the business and Vogel Sheet Metal expanded to include heating, and later air conditioning work. Beginning primarily as a residential heating company, Vogel benefited from the conversion of South St. Louis residences from coal and oil to gas heat and central air conditioning.

Today Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning work makes up the majority of our business. Our market is primarily commercial and light industrial work, with a special focus on fast track projects such as retail and restaurant construction. We service a select group of general contractors and owners who share the same market strategy as ours in project type and scope, but most importantly who share our focus on customer service. In selecting our clientele we value a track record of fair treatment to their customers and subcontractors, as we focus on the fair treatment of our customers and subcontractors. If your company fits this bill, and you are looking for a service oriented HVAC firm to perform your HVAC work, Vogel Heating and Cooling would be a good choice for your next HVAC project!

The range of our typical commercial HVAC project is from $10,000.00 for a small retail shop to $5,000,000.00 for large Commercial Projects.  In this market we are just as comfortable building a plan and spec project, as we are doing a design build project. We also do a fair amount of institutional work, including, St. Joseph School in Imperial, Annunciation Church in Webster Groves, Parkway School renovations, and industrial work such as Reliable Biopharmaceutical Company.

Some additional projects of interest that we have completed recently or are currently working on include: AMC Esquire Theatre, Sherbrooke Village Assisted Living Center, Nazareth Assisted Living Center, Global Foods, Peacock Diner, Ronald McDonald House, CarMax (St. Peters and South County Locations), Hazelwood and University City School Districts, Florissant Police Station, Ferguson City Hall,  Rock Community Fire Protection District (various fire houses), Hardee’s corporate test kitchen, Park Place Apartment (220 unit renovation), Partridge Place Apartments (assisted living, 20 unit new construction), Washington Lofts (upscale downtown loft style condos, design build), Kitaro Bistro of Japan, Thomas Jefferson High School (gym addition and renovations), St. Catherine Laboure (gym addition and school renovations), Ameren UE Disaster Facility, and so on……

As a company policy, we do not set out to be the cheapest HVAC Company in town; we do however place an emphasis on being the best. Our design build clientele is accustomed to receiving one price for the project, without a host of change orders to correct the things that we missed. Our goal is one price, one design, one installation, and one correctly functioning building. Our staff of 20 commercial HVAC technicians is ready and eager to back up our claim of being the best!
